Tire shop ‘furious’ after shop staff refuse to sell car parts to customer
A tire shop in Melbourne’s north has refused to sell the parts it needs to repair a broken rear wheel.

The man, who has not been named, told News Corporation he was at the tire shop with a friend when he was told to come to the front of the shop and pay for the repair.
“I went there and there was a man there, he was like a stranger,” he said.
“And I just said, ‘Oh my God, you’ve got to pay my bill’.”
I said, I don’t know how I’m going to pay this, I’m not a big shop and I’m on a small budget.
“The man said the manager asked him why he was doing it and he said: “Because you’re a customer, you know?
“The shop manager told News Murray Vale Road would be closed from Monday until Thursday, and staff would not be allowed to drive on that road.”
We’re in a situation where we can’t afford to do this, the road is dangerous, there’s a lot of people driving on it,” he told News Ltd.
The shop owner said the shop was in a difficult financial situation, and was considering shutting down.”
They’re getting ready to close, they’re making the best of it,” she said.
News Corp has contacted the shop for comment.
