Why the Lakers’ win against the Suns is a big deal

D’Antonis’ comments come as the Lakers prepare to play a home-and-home against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday night.
The Lakers defeated the Suns 115-94 on Friday in Phoenix.
D’Angelo Russell had 19 points, seven rebounds and five assists, and Derrick Williams added 17 points for the Lakers (16-15).
Jordan Clarkson scored 18 points and Willie Cauley-Stein had 15 points for Phoenix (15-15), which lost its fourth straight game and sixth in a row.
The Lakers have won eight of their last 10 games and have lost three of four overall.
But the Suns were coming off a 104-95 home win over the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday.
The Lakers are 3-1 at home against the Lakers.
D’Andre Roberson scored 24 points and Gerald Green had 21 for the Suns, who had lost three straight at Staples Center.
Cauley of the Timberwolves has played in three straight games against the Clippers, but he was ejected in the second quarter Friday night after arguing a foul on Green.
Los Angeles lost its second straight and its first in 10 days.
